Alliance of Lawyers for Research and Development of Legal Sector in Nepal

Objectives

ALDeRLS-Nepal works to promote respect and observe business and international trade laws, criminal laws, human rights and democracy; rule of law and its due process; promote consumer protection. It also keeps close concern to create networks with public interest and related organization, non governmental organizations, universities, relevant research institutions, religious association and legal society and promote public awareness in the field of criminal law, intellectual property rights, and international trade, and will provide on-request consultancy services to Government and Non-Governmental Organizations, within the spirit of its objectives.

The main objectives of ALDeRLS-Nepal is to build a national and international legal research awareness of all forms of legal sector through advocacy, research, seminar, social mobilization, coalition building and harmony.

To promote research based activities and serve information dissemination service in the field of business and international trade laws.

To protect and promote of human rights, rule of law and ease access to justice.
*
To promote an advocacy in victim compensation and restitution.
*
To introduce crime victim's rights and to promote victim assistance programs.
*
To conduct Criminological Research in order to reform the existing Criminal Law..
*
To uphold rule of law and promotion of Fair Trial.

To develop human resource critical approach on sentencing policy and create awareness to the judiciary.

 To promote advocacy on rights of children and their ease of access to justice.

To Participate in civic education, including basic and continuing legal education; training communities and individuals to enhance their legal and socio-economic developmental capabilities

To enhance and implement of legal resources in Nepal.
*
To expand nexus within organizations and individuals.
*
To provide counseling, arbitration and litigation in respect of legal aid cases

 To conduct intellectual discussions and to provide access for the public and concerned actors of the justice system

To produce publications of legal documents and literatures.
*
